Ziraat Katılım launched the Commercial Credit Card product in 2024 and continued its development endeavors.
As of year-end 2024, Ziraat Katılım’s debit card turnover doubled, and credit card turnover increased 3.8 times year-on-year, maintaining its growth momentum.
Ziraat Katılım issued TROY debit card and TROY credit card, the national card scheme in card payments, and made them available to customers. Endeavors continued to increase the penetration of TROY card systems and their share in the portfolio. In this context;
Co-badge cards were issued to enable the use of TROY cards internationally, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction. Both the Bank’s commercial and retail credit cards were enabled for international use under the TROY scheme.
Campaigns were organized and information activities were carried out on the Bank’s social media accounts and digital platforms to support the use of TROY.
In 2024, the Bank launched its Commercial Credit Card product to diversify its products within the scope of payment systems and to provide alternative payment solutions to its commercial customers.
Ziraat Katılım continued to enhance its POS infrastructure to enable more efficient and faster transactions, while expanding its merchant network by acquiring new customers through active marketing endeavors. As part of its collaborations with cash register POS companies, the Bank introduced discount opportunities and launched promotional campaigns offering advantageous prices to new customers added to the Bank’s portfolio.
As of year-end 2024, the Bank’s debit card turnover doubled and credit card turnover increased 3.8 times year-on-year, maintaining its growth momentum. In line with the merchant growth goals, the Bank’s POS turnover increased by 100% in 2024 compared to the average of 2023.
In order to keep customer satisfaction at the highest level with respect to the management of payment systems, periodic workshops are organized with the relevant business units and suggestions, complaints, and requests submitted to the Bank are regularly evaluated. As part of field services, SLA reports are regularly monitored and evaluated at meetings organized with the participation of branches to improve service levels.
Ziraat Katılım monitors market shares, transaction volumes, and turnover data to measure the performance of payment systems and makes use of user feedback to evaluate service quality.
The Bank integrates emerging technologies into its payment systems to effectively address evolving customer habits and expectations with the best services. In 2024, in this context, the Bank conducted studies on the development of mobile payment systems and the use of data analytics.
Developments in mobile payment systems: The proliferation of smartphones allows users to make payments without the need to physically carry their card details. In this context, QR payment system developments were completed, and the Bank’s customers were offered a more convenient payment alternative.
Contactless payment technologies: In order to expand fast and secure payments, contactless card conversion continued and effective steps were taken to reduce the number of magnetic cards in the system.
Data Analytics: Endeavors are underway to develop goal-oriented marketing strategies by analyzing user behavior, shopping trends, and market trends using big data analytics.
2025 and Beyond
Ziraat Katılım will continue to make both screen and flow improvements and arrangements as well as product and application developments as part of the Payment Systems Transformation Project carried out to renew the card payment systems infrastructure end-to-end. It is planned to increase the number of contracted cash register POS brands, to further develop brand partnerships and to expand the product range offered to customers.
