Waste Management

The Zero Waste Management System is implemented throughout the Headquarters, its additional service facilities, and all branches as part of Ziraat Katılım’s environmental management operations.

The Ziraat Katılım Headquarters Building was granted the Zero Waste Certificate on 15 April 2022. It is aimed to expand the best practice and ensure that all branches of the Bank obtain a Zero Waste Certificate. To encourage the separation of waste on-site and raise awareness about recycling within the institution, the utilization of waste bins in common areas has been expanded, replacing the trash cans previously located under the tables.

Online trainings on environment, waste management, and zero waste were provided for the employees of Headquarter units and branches, and in-house capacity was improved by increasing recycling awareness.
‍
The wastes generated at the Istanbul Finance Center, where Ziraat Katılım Headquarter units are located, are sorted on-site and sent to recycling facilities.
‍
Ziraat Katılım is committed to accelerate its performance in waste management by building a new system in the upcoming period.
